A NOTE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR…….
The year 2017 has come to a close and 2018 is now underway. Those who faced events like tough illnesses or diagnosis; heartache and loss; marriage troubles; difficulties with children; or financial struggles may be excited to have ended this past year. As they enter 2018, they may be filled with hope that this year will be different. Others may look back on 2017 with much gratitude for a wonderful year full of happiness and fun memories and look forward to more in 2018.
Regardless of how you ended 2017 and look at 2018, know that our God is sovereign and his plan for your life is good – even if our circumstances do not feel good. For many followers, it is in the darkest days that we draw ourselves closer to God and walk in full dependence on him. With this truth, we can face any challenge that 2018 brings, knowing that God is in control and His love is unfailing. For me, my biggest challenge is staying close to God in the good times, remembering to thank Him when things are going smooth for me and my family, and finding joy in the small irritants or frustrations in life. While none of us want to invite hardship into our life, we should always welcome opportunities to grow in Christ. This can be done in what we perceive as good or bad life events.
As we encourage our clients, we so encourage you….Every Life Has A Story Worth Being Written. Daily events (big or small) are the process by which our stories are written. Throughout 2018, allow God to help you write your story with grace, mercy, love, forgiveness, healing and all that is of God. He is the Author of Life, so surrender yours fully to Him.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV) Do not let the thief steal you joy in 2018 but instead allow Christ to give you abundant life each day.
